Ibiza, is one of the Balearic archipelago islands, which, along with Formentera, belongs to the so-called Pitusas Islands. This name of this particular group of islands is derived from the Greek meaning abundant pine reserve. The abundant pine trees that can be found here are what differentiated these islands from the rest.

As is the same on the rest of the islands on Ibiza, there are olive, vine and almond trees. These trees have been being cultivated since ancient times. They contrast with the landscape of the wooded areas which are characteristic of the islands. Such is the boom in olive trees that many of the centuries-old rooted olive trees from the south of the peninsula form part of the landscape of parks, roundabouts and garden areas around the whole island.

In addition to being ornamental, olive trees are present in some of the estates that are visited by various celebrities summer after summer.

This is the case of Finca XArcAgrturisme located at the foot of Puig d’Atzaró, which is 5 km from the town of Santa Eulalia, and can be found in the north of the island.  This is a place which allows visitors to enjoy a truly authentic part of Ibiza which has not been transformed by the boom of Balearic tourism.

The property has a 20th century house built in the purest Ibizan style. It is surrounded by five hectares of land, where some of the main crops of the island are cultivated, such as almond, fig, carob, apricot and orange trees. However, the main crop that can be found here is the olive tree. In fact, the American celebrity Paris Hilton has fallen in love with them.

Paris Hilton, who has risen to fame, not only for her talent and her work, but also for the controversial lifestyle she leads and the wealth she inherited from her great-grandfather Conrad Hilton, founder of Hilton Hotels & Resort, admits that Ibiza is perhaps one of her favorite summer destinations. This is not because of the party that spreads throughout the entire island, but because of the peaceful time she has when she is surrounded by olive trees. The world stops at her feet and she connects with the nature around her and her true inner self. Thanks to her travels to Ibiza, Paris has introduced EVOO as a fundamental ingredient in her diet. She never thought she would be able to discover something so wonderful, something that she could fall madly in love with.
